- Do you accept new patients?
- Yes. We are currently accepting new adolescent and adult psychiatric patients, both in person in Oak Park and by telehealth across Illinois.
- What insurance do you accept?
- Medicare, Medicaid, Blue Cross Blue Shield, UnitedHealthcare, Aetna, Cigna, Humana, and Meridian. Don't see yours — call us and we'll check.
- Who will I see at my visits?
- Sanevi is led by board-certified psychiatric mental health nurse practitioners (PMHNP-BC). They are licensed to evaluate, diagnose, and prescribe psychiatric medication in Illinois, and provide the same psychiatric evaluation and medication-management services you would expect from a psychiatrist.
- What about patients aged 13–17?
- We see patients 13 and older. For teens, a parent or guardian is typically involved in scheduling, insurance, and the first visit. During the initial evaluation, we explain how the teen, parent, and provider will work together — including what information can be kept confidential and what requires guardian involvement. We'll walk you through exactly what to expect when we call to schedule.
- Do you offer telehealth?
- Yes. Psychiatric visits are available by secure video for patients physically located in Illinois at the time of the visit.
- What happens at the first visit?
- A full 60-minute evaluation: history, current symptoms, prior treatment, goals, and — if appropriate — a starting plan for medication, therapy, or both.
- Does booking guarantee a prescription?
- No. Any medication decision follows a clinical evaluation. We treat medication as one tool of several and explain the reasoning behind every recommendation.
- Do you also provide primary care?
- Coordinated primary care is available to established psychiatric patients — labs, medication interactions, and routine health concerns stay integrated with your mental health care.
- What should I do in a crisis?
- If you are in immediate danger, call 911. If you are in emotional crisis, call or text 988. Sanevi is not an emergency service.
